2016 - 2025 Class Teacher Banton Primary North Lanarkshire

From 2008 till 2016 I worked as an Educational ICT Staff development officer in North Lanarkshire.

1993 - 2008 Class Teacher Sandaig Primary where I pioneered using web technology in the classroom, in particular blogging and podcasting. I've experience of using digital and mobile technology inside and outside the classroom.

I enjoy digital technology and mixing them up in creative ways for fun and learning.

I am interested in projects that involve learning and collaboration in online spaces.

I've blogged at John's World Wide Wall Display since 2005, mostly about ICT in the classroom.

I also blogged (past tense) at my “106 drop in” about digital storytelling and experiments in mashing up digital media.

Along with David Noble I ran EDUtalk an open to anyone podcast and Internet Radio Station about all aspects of Education.

I helped Robert Jones develop ScotEduBlogs and now run that service, if you are a Scottish EduBlogger you are welcome to join in.

I've made some web tools the most useful is a Simple FlickrCC Search, and various mashups the strangest recently being Gif the Dub.
